Semi The Droid

The goal of the game is to protect Semi the Droid! He wanders every turn so make sure he stays out of harm's way. Semi The Droid is a tile puzzle game where you transform the board each turn to redirect Semi away from any hazards or danger. Each board is randomly generated and hazards become harder to avoid the more turns you successfully survive.

How to Play

On each turn, you pick up one group of tiles and place it at a different location. A tile group is only able to be picked up when all other tile groups on the board are connected to each other.

Tile groups can be rotated and relocated, so as the game progresses, the board is constantly transformed.

Once a tile group is placed, the entities on the board take their turn. Some damage tiles around them while others are stationary hazards. It may take a couple of turns for entities to attack.

Try and survive as many turns as you can!

  • Left Click: Select tile group/place tile group
  • Right Click: Cancel tile group selection

I love the art and the idea. the music is kinda soothing and sounds like lo-fi to me =) the how to play screen was a little daunting and could possibly be shortened. the cursor being isometric is very funny to me and just a little bit of polishing that went a long way. it was a little bit easy and i got to 23 turns before I felt like this game was getting boring. Still fun none the less.

Thanks for playing! I'll definitely see if I can shorten the how-to-play section, I agree it is a little long. Also in terms of difficulty, I think I need to adjust the difficulty scaling a little bit to make it get harder faster, or just change how entities spawn in general. I didn't get much time to tweak it during the jam haha, but thanks for the feedback :)
